Baby's first few days home can be a time when assistance is welcomed. With Personal Care Nursing, a BJC Home Care registered nurse experienced in maternal and child health comes to your home for a two-hour visit at pre-arranged times to offer complete, in-home check-ups. Although complications are uncommon, your nurse can detect problems and contact your obstetrician or pediatrician so additional care can be prescribed.

Besides conducting a complete check-up on you and the baby, your nurse can help with:

• Educational information
• Episiotomy or incision care
• Safe formula preparation
• Identifying possible baby health complications
• Information on breastfeeding
• Routine newborn care, including cord care
